Sophie Bongers

Consultant Psychologist (she/her)

My aim is to create a supportive therapy space where we can work together towards meaningful change in a way that feels right for you. I bring a warm, genuine presence to sessions, with a strong focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and understood.

While therapy can often feel challenging, I don’t believe it always has to feel heavy. I like to bring a sense of humour and lightness into our work together where it feels appropriate.

My areas of interest include:

- Complex trauma
- Sexual wellbeing
- Interpersonal and relationship challenges
- Chronic pain
- Grief, adjustment, and life transitions
- Neurodivergence
- LGBTQIAP+ identities
- Disordered eating

I take a flexible, individualised approach to therapy, adapting sessions to suit your unique needs, preferences, and goals. My style is eclectic meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). My work is grounded in being person-centred, trauma-informed, and identity-affirming.

Sophie works with individuals aged 16+ and is available on Mondays.
