I believe therapy doesn't have to feel overly formal or intimidating to be meaningful. My approach is relaxed, genuine, and down-to-earth, with plenty of room for humour, curiosity, and honest conversations. I aim to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without judgement or pressure to have everything figured out. While I'm always up for a laugh, I'm also not afraid to ask the tricky questions or gently challenge you when it might be helpful. I believe therapy should be a balance of feeling understood, exploring different perspectives, and making meaningful changes.
I see therapy as a collaborative process, and I'm interested in getting to know you beyond the challenges that bring you into the room. I recognise that everyone's experiences, identities, and ways of navigating the world are different, and I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
My areas of particular interest include:
I have experience working in private practice with a diverse range of clients, particularly adolescents and young adults. My approach is culturally responsive, neuroaffirming, and inclusive, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), while tailoring therapy to what works best for you.
Ultimately, I want therapy to feel like a conversation rather than a clinical interrogation. Somewhere you can feel heard, have a laugh, explore the uncomfortable stuff, and be gently challenged along the way.
