Grace Newland

Psychologist (she/her)

I have a warm, person-centred approach and aim to create a safe and empowering space in therapy. I have experience across both private and public sectors and particularly enjoy working with adults as well as adolescents and their families.

I have a special interest in supporting people who are struggling with:

  • Complex trauma
  • Personality vulnerabilities such as BPD
  • Eating disorders
  • Self-harm and suicidality
  • OCD
  • Substance use concerns
  • Mood and anxiety disorders

I flexibly draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to suit the individual, and my approach is trauma-informed, LGBTQAI+ friendly, and neuroaffirming. These modalities include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD.

I am a credentialed eating disorder clinician with the Australian New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders (ANZAED) and offer specialised eating disorder treatments including Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM), DBT for Eating Disorders (DBT-ED), and Adolescent Focused Therapy (AFT).

Grace works on Mondays and Thursdays and sees ages 14 and above.
