Danielle Dawson

Psychologist (she/her)

I have a warm, relaxed, and affirming approach to creating a therapeutic space that is safe, supportive, and empowering. My therapeutic style is characterised by my light-hearted demeanour, I use trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and LGBTQAI+ inclusive techniques.

I am passionate about working with:

  • Trauma, including cPTSD and PTSD
  • Disordered eating
  • Grief and adjustment
  • Interpersonal and relationship challenges
  • Mood and anxiety disorders
  • Living with chronic health concerns
  • Neurodivergence

Using attachment principles, I flexibly draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-focused CBT, compassion-focused CBT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Specialist Supportive Clinical Management for eating disorders (SSCM), and Motivational Interviewing.

Danni works on Tuesday and Wednesday and sees ages 12 and above. For help with eating disorders between age 12-16, please enquire via email prior to booking.
