Misha Priya

Registered Psychologist (she/her)

I am passionate about helping people overcome challenges and live their best lives, and am committed to busting the stigma that can prevent people from seeking support. I have a special interest in:

- Depression

- Anxiety disorders

- Grief and loss

- Chronic health concerns

- Complex trauma and PTSD

- Personality vulnerabilities

- Eating disorders

- Domestic and family violence

I am LGBTQAI+ affirming and neurodivergent affirming, and I work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse and First Nations clients.

I have gained experience across New Zealand and Australia, working with major mental health services, private practices, and the NDIS. My holistic approach incorporates the mind-body connection, recognizing that mental well-being directly impacts physical and other forms of well-being. I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships with warmth, empathy, and trust.

I believe that everyone has the potential to thrive, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive space for my clients. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, somatic psychotherapy, compassion-focused therapy (CFT), Specialist Supportive Clinical Management for eating disorders (SSCM), and mindfulness-based therapy (MBT), to help my clients achieve their goals.

Misha enjoys creative projects, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, and works on Saturdays seeing clients aged 16 and up.
